Brian Lamond is an accomplished Grade 1 Pipe Major and was a member of The Victoria Police Pipe Band when they won the World Pipe Band Championships in 1998. At the start of his career Brian was instructed by Captain John MacLellan.

Billy is a flute , whistle , keyboard player and composer and has written tunes for many years. He took up the bagpipes about a year and a half ago , is instructed by Brian and plays in the Inverkeithing Forth Bridges Pipe Band.

In the 1980's he recorded a flute and accordian CD, " The Dour Lads", with pianist and accordian player Roger McAndrew. One of his tunes, "The Drunken Tattie Houker", was recorded by Sandy Brechin on the CD "Out of his Box" in 1997.

This year , Brian and Billy, along wih percussionist Stuart Gillanders , have performed at the Milngavie Book and Arts Festival and Aberdour Festival.
